Fed: Students could decide which teachers get pay rises

Students could play a part in deciding which of their teachers should be given a pay
rise in a federal government plan to improve standards at public schools.

The performance-based plan is reportedly set to begin in 2009 .. with Education Minister
JULIE BISHOP devising three possible pay models.

According to Fairfax newspapers .. one is for a teacher to be assessed by how well
their students go in annual statewide exams .. the second is for students …
